Mark is the CEO of EchoSat, as well as the Chief Evangelist for EchoSat’s products. Mark is a veteran of the US Army, having served in both Intelligence and Special Operations, specializing in linguistics, cryptography and communications. Throughout his service he became fluent in a number of languages, having graduated from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California in 1992. Mark joined EchoSat in 1999 as the CTO, and quickly transformed the business model and re-developed the satellite network to stabilize and secure communications. He developed the Secure Payment Gateway (SPG) infrastructure and product model, which now services over 19,000 merchants. Mark is actively supporting standards adoption within the petroleum retail market, serving currently as Vice Chairman for the Conexxus Data Security Committee, and as a member of the Petroleum Special Interest Group within the EMV Migration Forum.
As the CIO, Chad oversees all customer and employee-facing software development for EchoSat. He is a veteran of the US Army, having served several positions within Combat Arms. He is a recipient of the coveted Expert Infantryman Badge, awarded only to infantrymen that demonstrate expert proficiency in their occupational specialty. Chad has a unique ability to combine business needs and information technology to create systems that span the enterprise and correlate data and processes from multiple business units. EchoSat’s customers rely on Chad to deliver accurate information and reports to help them efficiently operate their businesses. Chad joined EchoSat in 2001 as Director of Application Development, and took the CIO position in 2004. Prior to EchoSat, Chad held numerous roles within software development at Rovion, Inc. and iHigh.com. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
Schane leads the day-to-day functions of EchoSat as the Director of Operations. He is a veteran of the US Marine Corps, having served within several areas of the Marine Corps Information Systems Management Office. Since Schane joined EchoSat in 2007, he has played many roles in the organization, and his efforts have been instrumental in the growth of the company. EchoSat’s customers rely on Schane daily to find solutions to their complex problems. Prior to joining EchoSat, Schane worked as Assistant Vice President of Information Services at City National Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.
Travis joined EchoSat in 2010 to lead operations and delivery of support. EchoSat‘s customers rely on Travis to deliver solutions to their day-to-day problems in a timely manner. EchoSat’s number one goal is to deliver unbeatable support to customers, 24x7x365. As such, Travis holds one of the most important positions within the company as the front-line interface to those customers. He prides himself on patience, and the ability to translate complex technical problems into understandable language. Prior to joining EchoSat, Travis held several IT roles within the Kentucky Department of Education, Disney ABC Television Group and Lexmark International. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunications and Computer Science from the University of Kentucky.
James joined the EchoSat team in 2007 where he helps facilitate the growth and expansion of EchoSat programs and services, and enthusiastically promotes the overall value and benefits of EchoSat solutions to new and existing customers, partners and channels. With over 30 years of management experience in convenience store and petroleum operations, POS systems design and secure networks, customers count on James to understand their operational priorities and coordinate efforts to deliver excellent service and scalable programs. James has written technology articles in several convenience store and petroleum trade magazines. Prior to joining EchoSat, James held various positions with Datawire, ThruComm, VeriFone/HP, Radiant Systems and Dairy Mart. James graduated summa cum laude from Loomis Chaffee School, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University.

Mr. Wimsett brings more than 30 years of payments-industry experience to EchoSat, and is the Chairman and Managing Partner of Wimsett & Company. As EchoSat‘s Executive Chairman, Mr. Wimsett is responsible for assisting with the strategic corporate vision. He is instrumental in developing new business channels for EchoSat’s products.
Mr. Carl is a 16-year veteran of EchoSat, and provides product development and strategy for the company. He is responsible for the development and strategy of all EchoSat products, including SPG and PaySafe SPG.
Robert C. Dunn
Mr. Dunn is a Managing Director of Thompson Street Capital Partners. He leads EchoSat’s Investment team, and is responsible for both capital and acquisition strategies.
Brian R. Kornmann
Mr. Kornmann is a Director at Thompson Street Capital Partners. He is instrumental in day-to-day strategy of EchoSat‘s operations, assisting primarily in the areas of accounting and reporting. Mr. Kornmann also assists in EchoSat’s investment strategies.
